Song, "We Are The World" Now and Then

25 years ago a few people had an idea that had never been done before.

A vision of having artists of different ages, styles and genres sing one song. Even more incredibly, to have them record it at the same studio, with the same producer, at the same time.

It was a way to symbolize the wonderful diversity of the population being able to unite and create positive change in the world.

45 artists came together and did that, with 50 more having to be turned away.

Two weeks ago, for the second time, more then 80 artists came together and did this again.

Watching the videos again I am amazed at the accomplishments made in both. What saddens me is how some are responding to the new one. People need to come together and stop fighting and bickering over who should or shouldn't have done what, why one was there and another not. 

Donate through The We Are The World 25 for Haiti, help someone in your community or just try to be nicer and more open to the world around you. 

Most importantly come together as the artists did, take whatever positive you want from it and leave the rest.....
