Wise words to live by from Gandhi and Osho

It never ceases to amaze me just how powerful words can be:

An eye for an eye only succeeds in making the whole world blind. - Gandhi

You can go on changing the outer for lives and you will never be satisfied; something or other will remain to be changed. Unless the inner changes, the outer can never be perfect. - Osho

If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning. - Gandhi

Seriousness is a sickness; your sense of humor makes you more human, more humble. The sense of humor -- according to me -- is one of the most essential parts of religiousness. - Osho

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will. - Gandhi

GOD is just a name of the totality of existence. - Osho

Inspiring words to live your life by

I just read this tonight on Share Facts Blog and I had to pass it along:
... you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something ...
It is from the Commencement address by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, delivered on June 12, 2005. The entire address is really inspiring and I recommend reading it!

Thanks Share Facts!

Who I'd like to meet and why

As I have already said, I don't really have heroes. What I do have is a list of people I'd like to meet. Each is someone I respect and admire because of, in my opinion, their exceptional ability to express themselves in areas I am passionate about. I want to talk to and ask them questions about their chosen field. Most of the people on this list I have admired for more years then I care to admit because it would really show my age. :-)

I have always said that if I could meet this person or that person I would just want 5 minutes with them to talk to them. Its so hard for me to explain my feelings about this so I thought if I give one question as an example you may be able to understand why they mean what they do to me. They are listed in no particular order, they are all equally talented in their fields to me.

1st is James Taylor,

Heros

My heroes are my family, friends and the people I've who I've been fortunate enough to have had in my life at one time or another. I try never to judge another soul, for what they contribute to the world. The way I look at it, you never know who's life you could change or vice versa, and if we think of that every time we meet someone; the world might be a more positive and trusting place.

My Grandparents, Parents, my brothers, Aunts, Uncles and many more! Heroes to me are people who

Stephen King's House

May be I should start with this...

"My name is Colleen and I'm obsessed with Stephen King. Its been 29 years since I read the first book of his". hehe

Ok, now I feel better. I went to see his house in Bangor, Maine in 2007 and it was awesome! The fence and gates were the best part. The details were very subtle. Unless you were really looking it just looked like a regular fence!
He has lived in that house with his wife Tabitha (who is a great writer too) for pretty much his entire career, I think. It has the offices and everything in it. He had just bought the house next door to it and was having it renovated to move the offices there.
Aside from his brilliant writing, what I love about him is that he has never forgotten where he came from and he gives back to his community and profession.

And Now...........
Here are a few pictures............

Quote of the day

"You can be happy or sad, it doesn't matter. You get to choose. You can go this way or that way. You get to choose. Figure it all out as you go. There's not one right path. There are many right paths. Do anything you can do -- which means think it or speak it or do it -- that makes you feel a little better."

This is an excerpt from an Abraham-Hicks, Law of Attraction workshop.

Journey with Arnel Pineda on CBS Early Morning Show Videos

I watched the CBS Early Morning Show and I was absolutely amazed and excited when I saw Journey with their new lead singer, Arnel Pineda! It was absolutely incredible!!! I'm trying to think of words to express how awesome it was! Amazing, stupendous, WOW and every other word anyone wants to add!!!!! I seriously sat crying and had goosebumps when I heard the band perform, Don't Stop Believing.

Arnel's personal story as well as how he came to join the band were extremely moving to me and I'm sure
